More pictures

Here are a few more pictures from Sunday and Monday.  Tuesday we didn't do much of anything except haul water and go into town (Gardiner) for groceries and to make a phone call.  We got cell service there.  It rained most of the day anyway.

There was a herd of elk that hung around about 300 yards away from camp and the bull was bugling about every 60 seconds.  I could almost predict him.  I've never heard it so long and so close.  It's like a high pitched whistle that ends with a couple of grunts.

Today we're going to see geysers and other thermal features.  It's supposed to be cloudy again with high of 50.  There is some sun forecast for later in the week.

  1. I'm sure glad you've been able to start your posts again. I enjoy your writing and pictures. Hope you're keeping a list of all the campgrounds where you stay--we might want to make a trip along part of your trail sometime. It sounds great!
