Here are a few more pictures from around Black Mesa State Park: It has desert features with cactus, prickly pear and succulents along with rocky ledges and rattlesnakes. We didn't see any rattlesnakes.
As you can see, we are all alone in the park.

There were only 4 campers in the park Tuesday. One gentleman was there for an annual astronomers meeting put on by the OKC and Tulsa Astronomers Clubs. He said it's a great place because there is virtually no light pollution and they can see low altitude stars.
