Rocky Mountain National Park

We are at Rocky Mountain National Park Friday and Saturday nights.  It wasn't very far from Denver.  We thought we might stay at a state park in Loveland but it was full so we pulled the trailer up to Estes Park.  All campgrounds in the national park were full so we rented a slot in a private campground.  It's OK, kind of expensive but we expect that.

When you pull a big trailer or motorhome it's a bit of a challenge pulling into a station to get some gas.  Some I have had to back out the way I went in.  Yesterday I had plenty of room to pull all the way out except a fellow at the pump next to me got his gas and then was just sitting there texting.  I had to tap on his window and ask if he was finished fueling could he please move so I could get out without hitting him.  He kindly obliged.  But who finishes their business at the pump and then just sits there taking up space while he texts????

Here are some pictures of Rocky Mountain National  Park.  We will go to Bear Lake in the morning and then drive the  ridge road later in the day.

  1. We've had to back out of a few places, too. We've also seen people leave their cars at the pump while they go inside to eat. Some people don't use common manners or just have an "all about me" attitude, I guess. Still enjoying your pictures. The aspens are beautiful!

    1. The Aspens are just incredible. We didn't plan this for the Aspens, just got lucky. See my next post.

  2. I love Aspen trees! P.S. I'll tell Casey you saw lots of elk; he just came back empty handed from his elk hunting trip, lol. - Marlana
